All interested parties are invited to participate in the new OASIS ODF Interoperability and Conformance Technical Committee. This group will work to produce materials and host events that help implementors create applications which conform to the ODF OASIS Standard and which are able to interoperate. The ODF Interoperability and Conformance Committee will operate under the Royalty Free on Limited Terms mode of the OASIS IPR Policy. TC proposers include representatives of OASIS Foundational Sponsors, IBM and Sun Microsystems, as well as Ars Aperta, Google, Novell, South Africa Department of Science and Technology, US Department of Defense, and others. Robert Weir of IBM is the convener; a Committee chair or two co-chairs will be elected at the first meeting, which will be held by teleconference on 22 Oct.
