Revision of ODF Plugfest at The Hague from Fri, 2009-06-19 19:54

At the personal invitation of the Dutch minister of Foreign trade, Mr.Heemskerk, members of the OASIS ODF TC and OIC TC, core developers and other technical experts worked side-by-side at a plugfest in The Hague to actively discuss and improve interoperability. Various well-known and lesser-known implementations were tested, including AbiWord, EuroOffice, GoogleDocs, KOffice, MS-Office,  the ODF-converter, OpenOffice.org and Symphony. Driven by the succes of this event, participants decided to continue their test work on a on-going basis using the wiki, kindly provided by the OpenDoc Society. This web-based hands-on approach allows implementers all around the globe to participate in and benefit from a collective effort, making ODF an even better standard than it is today. More info can be found on the public wiki.
