KOffice is a free, integrated office suite for KDE, the K Desktop Environment.

KOffice 1.6 is the current official KOffice production release, while 2.0.0 is a developer's release.

StarOffice 8/StarSuite 8 is based on the open source OpenOffice.org application and comes in two editions - the Enterprise edition which is sold as the Enterprise RTU/Media product on the Sun/partner pricelists and the Standard edition which is included in the retail/etail offering, the download and OEM version. The Enterprise Edition contains the core features found in the Standard Edition as well as the StarOffice Migration Tools and JDS Configuration Manager.
